Studio Preview & Publish, Document Designer & More

Feature Update

Sutton Studio now lets you preview app changes before publishing, plus custom-branded documents, inventory reservations on MOs, and draft transfer orders.

What's New in Sutton

Preview and Publish in Sutton Studio
Building apps now has two steps: preview, then publish. Changes go to a preview environment first so you can test them. Once everything looks right, publish to roll them out to your whole organization. You can keep iterating without disrupting the version your team is already using.

Custom Document Designer
You can now customize the documents you print and send, including sales orders, purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading. Add your logo, adjust the layout, and include the fields that matter to your team. The document designer is in early access, so reach out to your CS manager to turn it on for your account.

Optional Addresses on Sales Orders
You can now create a sales order without an address. This helps with pick-up and drop-off orders, and with importing historical orders from channels like Shopify that don't always include one. An address is still required at shipping, so nothing leaves without a destination.

Internal Notes on Sales Orders
A new internal notes field holds the details your team needs, like approval context or account notes, without showing them on customer-facing documents.

Settings Tab on Sales and Purchase Orders
Some options that used to live only in operation defaults can now be set from a new settings tab. On sales orders, you can enable projects, update custom terms, and change the document prefix. On purchase orders, you can set CC emails and the document prefix.

Enlarged Item Images
Click an item's image on a line item to enlarge it and confirm you have the right product at a glance.

Inventory Reservations on Manufacturing Orders
Reserve inventory against a manufacturing order so the materials a job needs are set aside and can't be pulled for something else before production starts.

Draft Transfer Orders
Transfer orders now support a draft status. Start a transfer, save it as a draft, and finalize it when you're ready, which helps you plan moves ahead of time.

Active Portal Count
Organization settings now show how many portals are active, so you can keep track as your portal network grows.
