Why Sutton

You don't need a new ERP to see your floor.

Legacy machine monitoring systems require you to replace your entire ERP, spend months on implementation, and pay six figures before a single machine goes live. There's a better way.

Legacy MES / ERP systems

Expensive, slow, and built for someone else's floor.

Six-figure annual contracts

4 to 9 month implementation

Replaces your existing ERP entirely

Requires dedicated IT and consultants

Months before your first data point

Locked into one vendor's ecosystem

Sutton Machine Monitoring

Live on your floor the same day, no IT team needed.

From $149/machine/month

Live the same day

Works alongside any existing ERP

No IT team required

First data point within the day

Monthly, quarterly, or annual billing

Live Machine Status

See which machines are running, idle, or down right now, across every line and every shift.

Running, idle, and stopped states for every machine
One live status board for the whole floor
Live kW from every machine, refreshed every 10 seconds
Instant visibility the moment a machine stops unexpectedly

Downtime Tracking

Know not just that a machine stopped, but why.

Every stop detected automatically
System stops tagged without any input from you
Operators add a reason in one click
Downtime history by machine and shift
Purchase order management dashboard

Cycle Times and OEE

Drill into any machine for live power, cycle times, and the job it is running.

Cycle times detected automatically from power spikes
Target and actual cycle time side by side
OEE scored per machine, with uptime tracked across the facility
Live power draw and run status for the selected machine.

Job and Tooling Library

Every job and its tooling catalogued with target cycle times mapped against live actuals.

Target vs actual cycle times tracked automatically
Catch jobs that run slower than they should
Active production jobs synced from your ERP
Benchmarks set automatically from historical runs when you have no targets

Energy Cost Tracking

See what every run and every part really costs in energy, not an estimate.

Live power readings converted into real kWh
Cost per run and cost per part
Facility wide cost trends, daily and weekly
Drill down to the individual machine

Customer Story

From pen and paper to live machine data.

"Before Sutton Machine Monitoring, we operated with a pen and a piece of paper. Now I can pull up cycle time from my house and know when a machine is running, when it's not, and how efficient it is."

The hardware

Precision sensors, zero disruption

Sutton Machine Monitoring uses revenue-grade split-core current transformer (CT) sensors that clamp non-invasively around your machine's existing power feed. No rewiring, no downtime, and no electrician are required. Each sensor reads live current draw with revenue-grade accuracy (CAT III/IV rated) and feeds data into the Sutton platform every 10 seconds. Sensors come in multiple sizes to fit any machine regardless of wire gauge or current rating, from compact 9mm CTs on smaller equipment to 20mm.

Revenue-grade accuracy (CAT III/IV rated)

Split-core design clamps on without cutting wires

Multiple CT sizes to fit any machine

Supports up to 30 machines per meter

Live data every 10 seconds

No rewiring, no downtime, no electrician

By the Numbers

The Numbers Behind the Results

Live visibility without the long implementation, the consultants, or the ERP replacement.

10 sec

Live data refresh

Every machine updates every 10 seconds, so you see problems while they can still be fixed.

2 days

To go live

Clamp on sensors and no ERP replacement mean you can see live machine data in as little as two days.

0

Electricians needed

Split core sensors clamp on with no rewiring and no downtime.

How we compare

The only machine monitoring software built to grow with you

FAQs

Questions? Answers.

Your most frequently asked questions, all in one place. If you don’t see what you need, reach out to us.

How much does Sutton Machine Monitoring cost?
+

Starter and Professional tiers are both billed per machine, per month, with no long-term contract required. See our pricing page and talk to sales for full details on what's included in each tier.

How long does installation take?
+

Most facilities are up and running the same day. Clamping sensors to your machines takes minutes, no electrician or downtime required.

Do I need to modify my machines?
+

No. The sensors are non-invasive and clip onto existing power feeds. Nothing is hardwired or permanently changed.

Does it work with our ERP?
+

Sutton Machine Monitoring syncs with any manufacturing ERP. If your ERP has an API, we can connect to it.

What if a machine isn't running?
+

The dashboard shows live status for every machine. If something stops unexpectedly, you'll see it immediately.

How does downtime tracking work?
+

Every stop is detected automatically. System-caused stops, like waiting on a job assignment, are tagged without any input from you. Real floor stops get surfaced to operators for one-click reason tagging, so you always know why a machine was down, not just that it was.

How does energy cost tracking work?
+

Live power readings are converted into real kWh consumption and tied to your facility's electricity rate, giving you accurate cost-per-run and cost-per-part figures, not estimates. Facility-wide cost trends are available daily and weekly.

Can I upgrade from Starter to Professional later?
+

Yes. You can move to Professional at any time, and your existing machine data carries over.
